Pros:I live in the next nearby small city, suburban area, over from Modesto which is Turlock. The cities of Modesto and Turlock are convenient for all types of shopping with easy parking for all stores and malls.
Cons:Modesto and Turlock and surrounding areas have very bad air quality both from agriculture, general auto and industrial pollution. Turlock is toxic with excessive pesticide spraying all summer and fall for mosquito control over the entire city. Pesticides and herbicides are used in huge amounts all around in surrounding agriculture and in the city parks and schools. These are not good places for people who like to exercise outside and be outdoors.
